“An artist, in giving a concert, should not demand an entrance fee but should ask the public to pay, just before leaving as much as they like. From the sum he would be able to judge what the world thinks of him – and we would have fewer mediocre concerts.” Kit Coleman’s ingenious remark fused in my marketing objective as I directly dealt with making the world know about our band.
I really did not care if it meant waiting for long, for as long as it took careful steps for a stronger foundation in the music scene. It was not until I read about an article on how to create a model website did I even bother to create an animated website. Our band had a simple website of our own that was just a simple online profile and a flat event management page on the side.
The review I read let me to create a music website that has more features that are targeted at not just creating awareness about our band and our music, but also to generate direct revenue from the music downloads and from orders of our swanky merchandise. The new website also led us closer to our site visitors who are potential fans by being able to communicate with them through our blogs.
We did not want to be mediocre musicians because we are legendary. And the way to do this was a website that allowed us to see how the world thought about us and our music.
